Restore a floppy disk from image

A Disk Image is a mirror copy of your entire floppy disk stored in form of a file. There are three types of images in Active@ Floppy Recovery. Restoring procedure depends on the type of an image.

Restoring of the regular and compressed floppy disk images can be done by one of the following methods:

  1. Find the image to be restored in the Active@ Floppy Recovery. Right-click the image and choose Restore Image on Floppy Drive.
  2. Find and select the image to be restored in the Active@ Floppy Recovery . Click Tools -> Restore .
  3. Find and select the image to be restored in the Active@ Floppy Recovery. Click Restore button on toolbar.
  4. Drag and drop image icon over floppy drive icon.

Regardless of the method you choose, the restoring process will start after message box with warning will appear. You can interrupt the process by clicking Stop button on the toolbar. After successful restoring process, a new floppy disk content will be opened.

Restoring operation for self-extractor image file can be activated by double-clicking over the file icon. This process is similar to those in Window Explorer since self-extractor files are executable. At the start of execution of self-extractor file you will get a startup dialog with caption you previously had chosen in create image wizard.
