Search files and folders
You can activate this feature from:
- Right click on the selected item and choose Search...
- Button
on toolbar. - Tools -> Search...
As a result, Search dialog window will appear.
Search in Active@ Floppy Recovery acts in the same way as a Search in Windows. You can search files on a floppy drive, in image library and in images by name or/and by text fragment.
A drop-down menu at a Search window contains only the first element in the root item. You can narrow down your search by choosing the applicable item from the drop-down menu.
Click Search button in the Search dialog window to activate the search process. The results of the search (if any) will appear in a list.
Double click any file in the appeared list. This file will be found and selected in main Floppy Recovery window.
If the file/folder is in image, it will be opened and corresponding file/folder will be selected in the main window. You can stop the search process by clicking Stop button or terminate the process by using Cancel button.
You may get warnings or another information in the bottom of the main Floppy Recovery window if the file is corrupted. If the search is done by entering the text fragment, only the undamaged files will be searched. During searching only by file name all file entries will be included in the process.
Star (*) symbol stands for all the possible symbols or any combination of symbols in the file's name or the file's extension. For example, by using template *.txt all .txt files will be found.
